Over the past three decades Laing O’Rourke has repeatedly delivered on-schedule for our mission critical clients in the UK, United Arab Emirates, and Australia. Combining our in-house delivery expertise with purposeful technology, deploying innovations including advanced manufacturing, digital engineering and AI we have produced powerful results.

Our highly experienced multi-disciplinary dedicated data centre teams are currently working across multiple campuses globally, with 85% of our data centre projects being delivered for repeat clients.

Setting us apart in the data centre sector, our unique operating model enables us to deliver faster, safer and more efficiently, helping our clients meet the rapidly increasing need for scale and pace.

We provide certainty through end-to-end in-house delivery across civil, structural, and architectural services (CSA), mechanical, electrical plumbing (MEP) and commissioning (CX); all enabled through our offsite manufacturing-led approach.

We are able to offer full turn-key CSA & MEP solutions, stand-alone fit-out, main capital equipment (MCE) integration, and bespoke stand-alone owner furnished contractor installation (OFCI) product supply, through our in-house specialist MEP business, Crown House Technologies. This approach crucially de-risks critical components of the supply-chain in a sector where skills and resources are increasingly constrained.

We have worked with repeat clients to develop and deploy scalable, repeatable product sets to allow rapid build programmes, digitisation of design and installation, defect-free commissioning and completion, and reduced operating costs.

Our engineering teams, possess unique experience in developing solutions to challenging problems, and ensure the requirements of the end user are fully realised. Understanding the unique needs of the client and end user, we design and deliver robust yet sustainable solutions that balance buildability with lifecycle efficiency.

We are transforming the way that data centres are engineered and built. Our 2030 goal is to achieve carbon reduction aligned with our approved science-based targets: 42% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 and 25% reduction in Scope 3, and by 2050 we will be a net zero company delivering nature positive solutions with teams that represent our diverse society.

Our proven approach to minimising disruption and good stakeholder management was recently exemplified by our London Data Centre campus achieving the prestigious title of Most Considerate Site of 2024 in the >£100m category, setting the benchmark for others to follow.
