Laing O’Rourke appoints Adam Crompton as its Procurement Leader for the Europe Hub.

Adam joined the company in 1996 as a construction project management graduate before going on to complete a Master’s degree in quantity surveying. His career with the business has included a number of senior roles within the Commercial function and more recently, a transition into Procurement where he was appointed as Procurement Leader for Laing O’Rourke’s Delivery workstream.

As the Hub’s Procurement Leader, Adam will continue to build on Laing O’Rourke’s relationships with its supply chain partners, all of whom are critical to the successful delivery of the company’s net zero ambitions, its drive for innovation and its focus on delivering a Group-wide record order book of £10.8bn.

Laing O’Rourke’s Group Director, Legal, Procurement (EU) and Sustainability, Madeleina Loughrey-Grant, said: “It was great to have such a strong internal applicant, and having already spent a number of years in the procurement function Adam was a natural fit for the role.

“I know Adam is looking forward to building on our relationships with our supply chain partners to deliver some fantastic projects across the United Kingdom and Middle East.”

Adam Crompton said: “It’s an honour to become the Procurement Leader for Laing O’Rourke’s Europe Hub, and one that I take great pride in.

“We recently held two supply chain networking events where we discussed the pipeline of work and shared examples of collaboration. It was great to feel the energy in the room and I look forward to continuing that dialogue.”
