Laing O’Rourke appoints Managing Director for Australia

After serving as Acting Managing Director of the Australian business for the past 12 months, Mark Dimmock has now been confirmed in the role on a permanent basis.

Rebecca Hanley will continue her work as Group Director Strategic Programmes, focusing on Laing O’Rourke’s future growth strategies across both the Australian and European businesses.

As Managing Director, Mark will lead the Australia Executive Committee (AEC) and represent the Hub on the Group Executive Committee.

Mark, who joined Laing O’Rourke in 2015, is a civil engineer with a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from AGSM. Throughout his career, he has delivered projects across Australia, Asia, Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Prior to taking on the role of Laing O’Rourke’s Acting Managing Director in 2023, Mark focused on business development in his position as Director – Clients & Markets.
